About Me...Us

My photo
To know us, let's rewind to one year ago and ask a question to each of us..."Do you think you will be living in Utah a year from now, more specifically within the basement of your aunt and uncle?" Let's begin with Kendall-"Hahaha don't be silly! I plan on having my bachelorette pad set up in the basement of my OWN parent's home!" Interesting...well Kendall, the basement idea is still there. Next up, Janelle! "Uhm, Why would I go there? Is the drinking age lower there or something?" Oddly enough it's actually the same as all the other 49 states but moving on...Jasmine! "Why would I leave the year round good weather, beach, and fine polynesian men for cold, snow in may, Utah?" And here you are, making snow angels and cuddling with Bell to preserve body warmth. Yeah, good choice. Onto Tracy! "Well, I'm actually already living there but goodness, in a year I'll be quarter of a century!" Thanks for keeping the bed warm Trace! Last but certainly not least, Amy! "Hahaha NO! My missionary just got home and we plan on being married by then! Things just work out:)" On the bright side Amy, anyone can wait two years but not everyone could do four! Thus the Cave Dwellers...

A Day In The Life of a Street Sweeper...

Kendall Kayci Rupp was born September 5th, 1990 in Meridian, Idaho. In fact the birth took place in the house that many of us remember so well from our youth...She has 5 olders siblings and 4 younger, 7 of which are girls. And we thought the cave was overflowing with estrogen! Maybe that's why Kendall loves hanging out with us so much:) I mean besides the fact that we're the coolest people she knows of course.
If we fast forward a short 18 years to her graduation from Homedale High School,
which she loved and tends to reminise about often (similar to Uncle Rico),
we catch up to her move to Utah. Kendall was never too thrilled on the idea but what sold her was knowing that her favorite human Jasmine and her semi decent friend Janelle would be down there too! Or maybe because her parents really wanted her, the details are irrelevant. As she trudged through BYU for two semesters the job hunt for something more fulfilling than making salads began. Little did she know that her previous farm experience would not only lead her to her destiny but she would excel in this program, quickly gaining management responsibilites. She is now...drumroll please....a STREET SWEEPER!!
She drives a...well....mini zamboni-ish thing that fits along the sidewalks where she cleans them off for all to enjoy. The catch to this is that the machine is rear wheel drive. Her boss once commented that she was the best driver he had ever seen and especially so soon! Only a few weeks into her job she then was able to take charge of some other workers and help them to become all they could be...similar to the army. Because of this we at the V-Spot are so very proud to call her our family:)
One can walk through the mean, mostly odd streets of BYU and wave at the very friendly street sweeper, happy to be making the world a better place, one sidewalk at a time.

On a very real note, Kendall you're amazing and we love being able to spend all this time with you:)

  1. I think KK needs to stick around Utah a little longer. Alli is just warming up to her and I can only imagine the psychological damage it will do to her young mind to lose such a dear family member. And don't even get me started on the ramifications it will have on little Macie. Sweet little Macie. So Kendall, think of the kids! Stay for the kids!
